It's all worth writing to your Congresspeople about, and if you dance, shake safely and with the proper form. Bounce up, down; bob your head back, forth; make crank calls on portable phones to anonymous pagers while checking out the opp-sex scene; basically have a good time looking trendily foolish. This is [12 Monkeys] airport music, little plastic streamers on toothpicks waving.

The Olivia Tremor Control, [Music from the unrealized film script, Dusk at Cubist Castle], Flydaddy/Elephant 6Oh person, this is the bestest! Bill Doss, W. Cullen Hart, Eric Harris, and John Fernandes, along with The Elephant 6 Orchestra (Apples In Stereo + Neutral Milk Hotel + more!) have blown extra holes in my socks and shoes - the best sonic present I could have imagined. It's the water cycle made into the lost third season of Twin Peaks goes to Liverpool, and all the carrots are XXL and super sweet. Listen. 27 basically perfect songs on two beautiful vinyl discs (or a CD for those who dig the dot dot dash) - the sky opens up and down rains bliss.

It's pretty much a man-dolphin conspiracy alright, what with Pacific oceanic electric impulses driving all of the sea mammals to Japan, where they will do flipper stands, amazing jumping through fire-loops and sign-language tricks, inspire office supplies for young girls, and be the focus of 7 separate anime series, not to mention innumerable manga collections. When the U.S. public has to watch badly dubbed Saturday morning whale adventures, frazzled yet tragically hip parents will finally turn to this record, and be blown away by weird stringy noises and forest romps. Makes me worship flowers.
