Pond, [The Practice of Joy Before Death], Sub PopStarpower fades even the brightest planet (or body of water thereupon), and it took a full orbit for me to fall in love properly, to dive in and backpedal. Pond bests any Sanrio critter at table tennis. Scrunchy undershirts, lounging aimlessly around the heartbroken bachelor pad, and the ceiling fan is conspicuously absent. There's a reason for all the white space, it's a closeup of the place between the line and the dot in "i" - the difference between just another classified ad and the rest of our lives. Freeway tunnel echoes blow my hair as the light approaches - sounds great.
